System Security Expert (SSE)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The System Security Expert duties and responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to
the following:
- Shall report directly to the contract Program Manager;
- Shall interface with Program Management Office designates on all issues involving certification process and report all issues or concern to contract Program Manager;
- Shall review, comprehend and maintain current knowledge of security related regulations and processes ;
- Shall provide support and interface on all issues relative to the Certification and Accreditation and/or Independent Verification and Validation Processes to include, but not limited to, support and assistance to systems engineers, programmers, and developers;
- Shall compile, draft, review, develop, and deliver input on all aspects relevant to organization activities, processes and associated documentation;
- Shall have the ability to obtain, create, modify, prepare and execute scripts/routines for Security, Test and Evaluation purposes encompassing a variety of systems, operating systems, applications, architectural diversity, nomenclature and application platforms.
SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED
Secret or higher.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and eight (8) years of
comprehensive experience with IT systems administration, engineering and IT
security. Eight (8) years of comprehensive experience may be considered
equivalent to a Bachelors Degree. The candidate(s) shall possess and apply
comprehensive knowledge of information systems. The candidate(s) shall be able
to plan and carry out complex tasks to completion. The candidate(s) shall have
excellent communication skills, writing skills and have command of the English
language. Candidate(s) shall interpret task requirements and select
methodologies and works within broad objectives. The candidates (s) shall be
able to research and evaluate emerging information technologies relevant to the
IT Security, provide analytical services in regard to system architecture,
equipment and software, and recommend enhancements to the Government on all
matters concerning IT Security. Should have Certification and
Accreditation experience.
